Photovoltaic (PV) is short for solar power system. It is a new type of power generation system that directly converts solar radiation energy into electricity by utilizing the photovoltaic effect of semiconductor materials in solar cells. There are two operation modes: independent operation and grid-connected operation.
Solar power systems can be classified into two types: e-scalecentralized systems, such as large ground-mounted PV systems in the northwest, and distributed systems (with a boundary of over 6MW), such as rooftop PV systems for industrial and commercial enterprises and residential buildings.
Energy storage mainly refers to the storage of electrical energy. In the field of petroleum reservoirs, energy storage is a term representing the capacity of a reservoir to store oil and gas. Energy storage itself is not a new technology, but from an industrial perspective, it is just emerging and in its infancy.
China has not yet reached the level of the United States and Japan in treating energy storage as an independent industry and introducing dedicated support policies. Especially in the absence of a mechanism for paying for energy storage, the commercial model of the energy storage industry has yet to take shape.
